Our Story

Just over 40 years ago the late, Kobie Fourie, had a dream of producing and supplying eggs from a centralized distribution point to the rest of South Africa.    

He started the company Môreson Poultry Farm after borrowing money from his father in law and bought his first lay hens. He later purchased a piece of land and started the company.  As the business grew, he was able to purchase more land around the initial farm and erected more chicken houses.

We would like to say "and the rest is history" but that would make it sound too easy.  

Years of hard work, producing the perfect feed and expanding the sites where the chicken houses are situated all lead to this successful enterprise.

Kobie had a passion for wildlife and being outdoors. His two sons farmed by his side and with his passing they stepped in and continued as the second generation to run Môreson. 

Our business is expanding yearly and as the poultry industry keeps growing, we strive to keep delivering the same product year in and year out even as we are faced with many challenges. 

The hard work and dedication Kobie Fourie put into building Môreson Farms will forever be the mark of class we look to uphold as we strive to be the leaders in the industry.
